Billie Fischer has been dancing through life since she was a little girl. Trained in ballet and modern, she taught lessons and performed before heading to Northwestern University. After college, she welcomed two children and launched maternity stores in Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, and Baltimore.
One day she popped a Jane Fonda workout tape in the VHS, and that was it, she was hooked. Sporting neon unitards, she embraced dance and exercise, eventually becoming a popular aerobics instructor in Georgetown.
After retiring her leg-warmers, Billie leapt into the world of interior design, as style and fashion were a lifelong passion, in addition to travel, tennis, and golf.
Then the pandemic hit, and Billie found herself looking to channel her energy and zest into new creative endeavors. She began creating one-of-a-kind bracelets for Wishbeads (Bling by Billie!) as well as discovering Zoom art classes through the Brentwood Art Center.
As she approaches her eighth decade, she’s thrilled to be dancing her way into her next exciting chapter, as an artist! We celebrate her courage to make her wish come true and embrace her new found passion with her signature style inspiring us all along the way!
